John Cleese, the Monty Python legend, live in Cyprus for the first time!
The legendary co-creator of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers brings “Last Time To See Me Before I Die” to Nicosia’s Eleftheria Sports Arena on Tuesday, 10 November 2026, for one night only!

One of the most important figures in British and international comedy is coming to Cyprus for the first time. John Cleese will appear live at the Eleftheria Arena in Nicosia on Tuesday, 10 November 2026, at 19:30, for one performance only.
The creator of Monty Python and star of “Fawlty Towers”, and co-writer and star of “A Fish Called Wanda” presents “Last Time To See Me Before I Die”. The deeply personal show looks back on an extraordinary life and career through stories, memories, biting observations and the distinctive black humour that made Cleese famous around the world.
For more than six decades, John Cleese has remained at the forefront of international comedy. With Monty Python, he transformed the way comedy sketches were written and performed, helping to establish a style of humour that was surreal, subversive and gloriously unpredictable. “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” and the group’s films became enduring cultural landmarks, influencing generations of comedians, writers and performers.
In “Last Time To See Me Before I Die”, John Cleese turns his attention to his own remarkable journey. He talks about the people, partnerships and unexpected circumstances that shaped his life, while revisiting memorable moments from Monty Python and “Fawlty Towers”. From fame and creativity to ageing, death and the afterlife, no subject is too serious to be approached with humour.
The title itself is a perfect reflection of Cleese’s attitude. “Last Time To See Me Before I Die” was originally presented as a farewell tour, yet it has continued for years, playing in theatres and venues around the world. Cleese continues to take to the stage, mock himself and demonstrate that his desire to challenge and provoke an audience remains undiminished.
John Cleese’s first appearance in Cyprus offers audiences a rare opportunity to see, in person, an artist who has played a defining role in shaping contemporary comedy. For one night only, on Tuesday, 10 November, Nicosia welcomes the legendary John Cleese, live, as sharp as ever and, as he keeps reminding us, not dead yet.
The evening concludes with an audience Q&A, offering the audience the opportunity to put their questions directly to John Cleese. Anyone bold enough to ask a particularly cheeky question, however, should be prepared to receive an equally sharp answer.
